Why 3D Dental Imaging is Preferable for Orthodontics

Why is it preferable for a client to use 3d modeling/3d scans for orthodontics? 3D imaging is a newer radiographic technology that can be extremely helpful for orthodontic patients. Three dimensional imaging is created by taking a number of 2 dimensional images and allowing a computer to stack or sandwich them together to create a 3D image. The sandwiched images allow the orthodontist to explore dental problems in three dimensions.
